9 Boat Party Dresses πŸ›³πŸ‘— πŸ’–πŸ’™πŸ’œπŸ’–πŸ’šπŸ§‘πŸ’–β€πŸ’™

For my sister’s birthday we decided to celebrate on the 6th Annual Style Chicago Odyssey Cruise that happens every July. It would be my 8 closest friends and myself.

So I decided to make all our dresses! Yes, I know it was a big task to take on but I got a pattern at Joann fabrics and kept it simple using only stretch fabrics.

The pattern was a mix and match one from McCalls 7926, so my friends got to pick and choose which style they wanted.

Also each girl got to pick their favorite color 🌈

I used a semi sheer fabric called Glissenette that had a bit of sheen to it for the body and for the lining I used a stretch jersey knit to match.

This pattern was great for complimenting their body type. I spent about 3 days cutting and sewing then scheduled each girl for a fitting. Luckily the alterations were not that bad which is why I love working with stretch fabrics πŸ’ž

I was pretty happy with the results and even happier that the dresses held up! No clothing mishaps lol

We had a wonderful time on the boat taking lots of photos, eating, drinking, watching the sunset and dancing the night away! πŸ“ΈπŸ½πŸ₯‚πŸŒ₯πŸ’ƒ

Yes we even had our own photographer lol β˜ΊοΈπŸ“Έ

The number 9 has always been my lucky number and what a blessing it was for me to be able to create 9 dresses in 2019 for 9 of the closest, bestest friends on one of the most beautiful days of the year!

Cheers to 30 years of love & friendship πŸ₯‚β€πŸ’–πŸ§‘πŸ’šπŸ’–πŸ’™πŸ’œπŸ’™πŸ’–
